On Sunday 25th July a Roseville U11 Barbarians side will host Kawanishi Rugby School from Japan at our temporary home at Killara Park. The side will be made up of volunteer players from our U11 Cyclones and Hurricanes teams who will already have played that day in the club competition. The match will be played at 2pm following a near full card of Rugby at Killara park starting at 10am and is also our Team Photo Day, so come along and support for all or part of the day. A canteen and BBQ will be available on the day so why not make a day of it!

Our first round with our new jerseys has proved very successful with all teams recording great performances and some gaining inspiration from their new kit to record their first wins of the season. The weekend started well with both our U7 teams competing well at Lindfield and gaining admiring comments from other teams as the only U7 teams with sponsorship.
The U8s were inspired enough to record their first win also vs Lindfield.
Sunday dawned and it was time for the U11 Hurricanes who again recorded their first win this year, followed closely by the cyclones who also won in a close game against Manly Roos 27-21.
The U14s then donned their new jerseys and had a convincing win against Wharoonga again this was their first of the season after being plagued with injuries.
Lastly the U15s had a close fought game agaionst our old rivals Collaroy Narabeen and with an injury prone game unfortunately lost 41 -26.
Well done everyone lets keep it up for the rest of the season!
We are ordering new shirts for the 2010 Season. The new design is below, it incorporates historical elements from the original Roseville shirt design (the Maroon and white hoops) combined with a more modern shirt design using the black from our current shirts.
We have chosen KooGa as the supplier choosing the same neck design as the current Wallaby shirts and a Hydrophillic breatheable fabric to keep our players drier and cooler than our current shirts.
Please see our Sponsors page for details of the shirt sponsorships we have obtained and the opportunities that still exist for promotion of your business on our shirts at very accesible prices!
The new season is approaching but unlike previous seasons scheduled fixtures will not commence until after Easter this year. Accordingly we have delayed our registration process a little which allows more time for you to register with the club.
Whilst our official Registration days at the Roseville Chase Oval have passed we still have a few places available in U14 (who go on tour this year), U9, U8 and U7/6. Please contact any of the committee or managers if you are interested in the club.
Last season was one of our most successful seasons ever (see below). Our philosophy of playing for the enjoyment of the game and our emphasis on the team rather than the individual was a major contributor to our success and something we intend to build on in the future. As a part of that philosophy the club has adopted an approach that as far as possible we will try to organise teams so that boys can play with their mates (within SJRU/MNZ guidelines for age etc). This sets us apart from other clubs where there can be an emphasis on grading individual players such that friends with differing abilities are split into different teams.
We are a small and very friendly club with a village atmosphere that keeps players and parents coming back so come along and see what makes us different.
3 out of 5 teams win Grand Finals !

Roseville Junior Rugby yesterday topped off a hugely successful season for the club by wining 3 out of the 5 Grand Finals in which our teams played. Our plan is to celebrate this record breaking season for the club at the Big Screen Night following the club presentations on 19th September. Click here for details of the menu, prizes and auction items for the day.
The detailed results were as follows:
All the Roseville players played games worthy of the Grand Final against tough opposition. The U14 match was particularly nail biting with the lead changing between the two sides frequently and the small winning margin reflects how close and exciting the game was.
5 out of 6 teams in Grand Finals !
it is with some considerable pride that I can report that all bar one of our teams have made it into the Grand Finals. This is I believe unprecedented in our club's history (unless someone can tell me different !). The results are as follows:
